Menus Planned with Student Preference and Healthy Balance
Our staff follows the SBP/NSLP Meal Pattern requirements when planning all menus. With input from the food service staff, students, and parents we will amen adjustments to the menu within the required guidelines. Meeting meal pattern requirements, customer satisfaction, consistent quality, and cost efficiency are our primary goals. Unique Food Management is pleased to share with you are meal plan choices.
Breakfast: A five week cold rotational breakfast menu with the option to choose hot breakfasts on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Lunch: A five week rotational lunch menu cycle, with a variety of three menu options for the students to choose form daily.
Snack: A five week rotational snack menu is offered daily.
Supper: A five week rotational supper menu is offered daily.
Other optional menus include:
•Fresh Fruits & Vegetables: FFVP is an optional competitive grant that schools can apply for each year. Schools that receive the grant are given money and guidance so that they can serve fresh fruit and vegetable snacks to students during the school day at no charge.
•Holiday Theme Meals: UFM offers optional traditional holiday meals during the week prior to all of the major national holidays.
•Special Events Catering: UFM is pleased to offer custom catering options for important school events/functions such as graduations, Honors nights, teach workshops, board meeting dinners, and student/parents wellness events.
•End of the Year School Picnic: UFM will grill Hamburgers/Hot dogs at your school, as a part of an MDE compliant lunch. Dates to be mutually agreed upon.
•Field Trips: UFM offers sack lunches prepackaged ready to go with the students, delivered timely to accommodate group departure, with milk/juice packed in coolers at no additional charge.
•”On the House Event”: UFM is pleased to provide your school one special event of your choosing per year, at NO CHARGE to your school.
